Do you come across many international/American students at Oxford? I am
currently an undergraduate physics student in the US and would absolutely
love to go there for my masters and PhD/the UK equivalents.
Really interesting video! I’m going into yr13 atm, hoping to apply for
physics at Oxford but was wondering if my chances of getting in would be
hindered by continuing Art instead of chemistry as my third subject? I’ve
emailed th about this but wondered what you had to say on the matter! Other
unis are fine with it and would rather I take a subject I enjoy and
therefore will do well in. (Should be taking AS further maths this year,
know that helps!)
I am really surprised by how few lectures u have a day. I have at least 6
hours of lectures or tutorials or experiments every week day. I don’t
really know if that’s just the differences between subjects or schools. But
u r so hardworking though.
Can you give some advice on how to be better at Physics and Math? I’m doing
Astrophysics at UCLA and could use some pointers
Guys, i have a question that’s really been bugging me the longest time that
i cant find the answer to anywhere. If you were badly behaved in Year 7, 8
and 9, but were then fantastically behaved and got Fatastic grades for the
rest of school life, would your chances of getting into uni, including
Oxbridge, be hindered? As the behaviour goes down on record etc?… Please
someone help me with this?! Thank you in advance :)
Looks like the road to academic success and excellence! 🙂 Is it even more
hectic for graduate students? And do people actually get time to foster
their other interests such as Arts or Music?
Physicists are so smart at times that you guys sound like Einstein cloned
himself.
(I would like to point out that I have no idea whether Einstein was a
physics dude or not)
You was studying master of physics, but not the bachelor? is that right?
Working into 3am?
1. Is that regular?
2. Is that stressful?
What kind of music you listen when you study?
Are you studying Physics, B.sc.? Best wishes from Cgn in Germany (:
When you mentioned that Stephen Blundell had written an ‘A very short
introduction’, I immediately sought out my collection. The book was on
superconductivity (204), the rest of the series all open with long, to the
point prefaces. Not this one, it opens with a line from Superman.
Brilliant!
I love your british accent
Wow your life is hell, I personally couldn’t keep this up for any extended
period of time without becoming suicidal.
I love physics and astronomy, which one would be a better career or life
choice?
I want to study physics but I want to mostly want to study the hologram
principle. I have always had a fascination with it since star wars.
1:05 So do I. I do some chemistry, then some maths, then English, then
biology – it’s a bit messy but it keeps me entertained.
More vlogs mate !
So much working…my question is; do you enjoy life?
gahhhhh, Oxford looks lovely.
– sincerely,
a maryland-er
did your friend have a beer in the library?
i wish i could do it , but i only got bs in science i actually like physics
a lot , but wasn’t allowed for a level , now i have applied for history
instead
My only concern about you is that you drink sugarfree Red Bull.
I love what you said about understanding, so well put
