I only watched half of this. What does this have to do with mathematics??
Think with your heart not with your mind!
beta male with a fedora
It’s not that hard to model, look up CLA and Jeff Hawkins
They really should have let this guy pee before the talk.
Over 50% watched now and not a single drop of mathematics. The title is
misleading! Not a bad speech but he’s really stating obvious things.

A smart guy,…BUT…9 years and still no PhD? really?
He said ….nothing.
Child prodigy grows up with no common sense.
+Craig McCaw Fortunately, no individual person has to understand it all at
once or with absolute precision. This is how we can say we understand
something about the Sun, even though it is trillions of times more complex
than a human brain.
Ruth Lawrence got her doctorate in maths at 17 from oxford university in
1989.Wonder if the knowledge of all subjects and master of few the secret
to future mathematics? Perhaps 100 scientists collaborate rather than a
single genius .
excuse me but chess isnt solved.

It we could make the human the size of a cube, we would all benefit by the
intellectually awesome discussions that would happen. We will be flying
cars in a year 🙂 Cmon researchers!
Interesting, nice ad placement on his book. lol
It would seem that a lot of people who have offered comments here have made
certain assumptions about ted talks. What I’ve taken from this talk is the
idea that we are possibly on the unusual and rare side of the discovery of
a new way of describing a facet of nature. God speed.
People, pls. I found that talk absolutely amazing! What he is saying is
really exciting for the future! The fact that he can not own a stage should
not detract from his mind-blowing ideas!
I want to be nice cause I’m sure the guy is brilliant, I mean, I get the
since he is, but damn, what the heck was the point. Don’t we already know
this. Is he just discovering what many of us already know. Youth. Come on,
catch up with us old guys. Good luck though. I do wish him good… and I am
trying to be constructive.
The continuum problem is outside of our present mathematics. Parallel
processing at the quantum level, is where the source of consciousness will
be found. By the way David has PLENTY of common sense.
I’m sure he’s great at what he does, but he is sooooooooo boring as a
speaker. My GOD, if I had to listen to this in a classroom I’d be asleep.
It would be so awesome if these brainy people did something that would
address the current world crisis ie the radiation out of japan global
warming fossil fuels an that stuff . .Ive no doubt this guy is really
sincere in his work but what good is knowing the formula to make a brain
when we got no food?
I could say the same about a lot of other teds too… he’s quite a genius
though…..
Incorporation is a very critical word to what I am speaking about. I do
apologize for the mass usage of it as it may seem to be a habitual word in
my speech, it is not.
To put it simply: “If the brain were so simple we could understand it, we
would be so simple we couldn’t” -Lyall Watson
Not all Ted talks are good. This is one example.
