Atomic Hook-Ups – Types of Chemical Bonds: Crash Course Chemistry #22
[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXT4OVM4vXI&fs=1&rel=0]
Atoms are a lot like us – we call their relationships “bonds,” and there are many different types. Each kind of atomic relationship requires a different type…

“CrashCourse does not dispense relationship advice.”
You should tell that to your brother over on Literature…
hhhhhhhhhh
My chemistry teacher sent this for us to watch
I squealed when I clicked the link and I ended up on Crash Course
Please do a physics crash course!
@ Becky Laprevote
Ionic bonding is where they give and take ions and occurs between metals
and non metals
Covalent is where they share ions and it occurs between non metals
Mettalic is where the outer electrons become delocalised and it occurs
between metals
Lmao 3:59
You tempt me…you tempt me to rage quit
Sorry to be a stickler, but isn’t it Joule nanometers, not Joules *per* nm
(see 6:15)?
O.o I kinda got lost and spaced out while he was talking yet I understand
what he is trying to say at the same time. cool video XD
okay. i need some help understanding the difference between ionic bonds and
covalent bonds because i have never understood and this video is not
helping. i am just massively confused. help please? :)
Now I understand
These videos are getting me through high school, thank you!
My bio professor just linked this for our lesson this week, jfc. Why am I
paying out the butt for school when apparently I can just watch Hank Green
teach me things for free?
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! You have such an amazing way of
explaining things! I am currently working my way through the Biology crash
course but headed over here to get better understanding of the different
types of bonds… you make it so easy to understand! so again… THANK
YOU!!
could you talk slower?
This is too much information in one video…
2:25 Marceline the vampire queen from adventure time?
I so fucking love these guys! Thabks a lot! And if it works for you in some
way, i dont think that was a lot of information, it was all clear!
I just seriously can’t believe that no one is correction him- Edward and
Bella were in BIOLOGY class (although I have so much shame for knowing
this)
Coming in 2016: Crash Course Relationships.
This is actually more complicated than a lecture from school.
couldn’t you technically use coulombs law to calculate a covenant bond? you
would just have to treat all the electrons and protons as separate charged
particles…
1:54 Wouldn’t the electrons be equally (or even more) repelled by that
atoms electrons (unless it is a positive ion)?
Or maybe my thinking lacks volume…
0:39 what’s the shaking thing in the window thing in the top left?
Wow…… TFIOS and Twilight references AND complicated Chemistry??? This
is what I call GCSE revision 😀
anyone else noticed his “brother” is reading the fault in our stars
