ConteXtream to Present Keynote at CDC World 2015 in Seoul, South Korea
Mountain View, Calif. (PRWEB) March 09, 2015
ConteXtream, a leading provider of carrier-grade network virtualization solutions, today announced that Sharon Barkai, co-founder of ConteXtream, will deliver the keynote presentation at the Cloud and Data Center World 2015 next week in Seoul, South Korea. Barkai’s presentation entitled “Standards-Based Flow Mapping Structure for SDN Distribution and Federation in OpenDaylight,” will provide technical insight into the evolution of SDN, current SDN deployment models and federated flow mapping use-cases.
As traditional networks are reaching their capacity, many operators are looking towards the benefits of network virtualization using SDN as a standards-based overlay structure. While these deployment model address network deficiencies critical for virtualization including mobility, elasticity and dynamic-linking function chaining, there are many challenges that must be considered during implementation. Barkai will discuss these challenges and provide best practices for implementing a SDN services-based network leveraging open standards and open source structures, as well as provide an overview of current federated flow mapping use-cases in OpenDaylight.
WHO: Sharon Barkai, co-founder of ConteXtream and senior representative for the OpenDaylight foundation. Barkai conceived of and began ConteXtream in 2006 after a career spent founding and managing highly successful technology companies. Before ConteXtream, he was founder & CEO of Xeround Systems, which developed an innovative map-reduce approach to performance and scalability. Prior to Xeround, Sharon was founder and CEO of Sheer Networks which developed a highly successful control & management plane for Consumer Broadband networks which was adopted by Tier 1 Operators worldwide. Cisco Systems bought Sheer Networks in 2005. Sharon began his career in engineering at 3Com. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Hebrew University, and an MSc from Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Science.
