“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as president of such a distinguished society,” said Dr. Weiss. “ASLMS is at the forefront of laser and energy based technologies. My goal is to help increase educational opportunities, increase membership and reach out to laser scientists and clinicians around the world.”

“Laser and energy technologies are constantly improving, and more uses are being discovered for them each day,” explained Dr. Weiss. “ASLMS is a wonderful resource for research, education, and clinical knowledge that can advance our understanding and use of these technologies. At MDLSV, we constantly strive to provide the best and most advanced technologies to our patients, and so I appreciate what ASLMS does and will continue to advance the goals of the organization as President.”
Some of the activities that ASLMS organizes in the pursuit of its goals are to hold an Annual Conference, which is the largest laser therapy and biology conference in the United States, raise money for research projects and grants, and reinforce safety standards for the use of laser and related energy technologies, as well as publish new information in the journal “Lasers in Surgery and Medicine.”
“As incoming president, I will strive to uphold the core goals and tenets of ASLMS,” stated Dr. Weiss. “I will do everything in my power to help advance our knowledge and applications of laser and energy devices, and to help foster a creative spirit in order to generate new and innovative uses for laser, light and energy technologies.”
