HealthSciences Institute and Predilytics to present at the PHA Population Health Management Framework Webinars
WASHINGTON, D.C. (PRWEB) September 23, 2014
The Population Health Alliance, the leader in advancing the principles of population health, today announced October’s lineup of webinar presenters for the Population Health Management Virtual Brown Bag Series: Predilytics and HealthSciences Institute, on October 2 and 16, respectively.
This FREE webinar series features PHA member organizations presenting on the core components of the Population Health Management (PHM) framework and how they relate to their work and underpin their research in areas of identification, assessment, stratification, engagement, interventions, and evaluation.
On October 2, Christopher Coloian, President and CEO of Predilytics, will present a webinar titled Improving population health value through advanced analytics that will discuss how consumer preferences, engagement, and conditions can be derived from data elements, spanning consumer, demographic, financial, and clinical sources. The webinar will take place on Thursday, October 2, at Noon Eastern Time.
“As an industry, we can deliver improved population impact through the use of more expansive data and computer science,” said Coloian. “Today at Predilytics, we are leveraging information about consumer behavior, clinical data including unstructured information from notes, and advanced analytics, to reveal insights to improve consumer engagement, quality of care, and the coordination of care resources. The result is improved individual health status and maximum health improvement for the population.”
Sponsored by the HealthSciences Institute, on October 16, Susan W. Butterworth, PhD, Associate Professor, School of Medicine, Oregon Health & Science University will present the webinar Engagement in Population Health Management (PHM): A Different Perspective.
Dr. Butterworth will go in depth into the data from real-world PHM settings to show how developing and measuring the proficiency of PHM practitioners in an evidence-based health coaching approach and continuously measuring and managing the fidelity of the program services to the approach, may be among the most effective and affordable strategies to both improve engagement rates, support healthy behavior, and ultimately improve clinical and cost outcomes. The webinar is taking place on Thursday, October 16, at Noon Eastern Time.
“One of our biggest missed opportunities in PHM is the failure to invest in the type of best practice skill-building, performance management and quality improvement approaches that many of our own customers use in their industries,” said Blake Andersen, Ph.D., CEO of HealthSciences Institute. “When we do it right, we can achieve not just incremental change, but transformative change in engagement rates–on the level of four-fold–in rigorous evaluations. This isn’t a theory it’s a fact.”
The webinars are FREE to attend and registration and detailed information for both webinars is available here: http://populationhealthalliance.org/webinars/phm-virtual-brown-bag-series.html
