HealthWare Systems Recruits Steve Linthicum as Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

HealthWare Systems announced today that it has hired Steve Linthicum as Chief Technology Officer. In his new role, Mr. Linthicum will oversee the entire operations of HealthWare Systems and will be directly responsible for the development and deployment of new products, implementation of existing software modules and the day to day operations.

Mr. Linthicum most recently was the Chief Technology Officer for the Illinois Health Information Exchange (ILHIE) Authority. Prior to ILHIE, Mr. Linthicum was a Technology Manager in GE Healthcare IT’s Office of the CTO. His initial role was product management for GE’s Perioperative and Anesthesia software solutions. He was later promoted to a larger role, which allowed him to expand his product management expertise to a wider range of GE solutions, which included Lab, Pharmacy, PACS, Operating Room and EMR. During his GE career which spanned 22 years and included software development leadership positions at GE Aircraft Engines, the GE Global Research Center as well GE HCIT, Steve was inventor on 18 US Patent Applications with 6 patents granted by the USPTO.
Mr. Linthicum holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Ohio University.
