METTLER TOLEDO Launches New Differential Scanning Calorimeter DSC 2 for Outstanding Measurement Performance in the Laboratory
(PRWEB) July 07, 2014
METTLER TOLEDO, provider of Swiss quality Thermal Analysis products for 50 years, is pleased to introduce the DSC 2. With the new FRS 6 sensor, the DSC 2 delivers better results, reproducibility, and durability. This 6th generation bottom bonded, surface stabilized sensor represents more than two decades of innovative technology and provides superior results in industry standard qualification tests.
Features include:
High sensitivity – for weak transitions
Outstanding resolution – separation of closely lying effects
Modular design – allows future expansion to meet new needs
The investigation of challenging samples requires variation of heating rates, crucibles or gas type and flow to properly analyze important material changes. The unique built-in FlexCal technology automatically applies the correct calibration data set to match such varying measurement parameters eliminating the worry about choosing a specific calibration between experiments.
The DSC 2 is operated by the new version 13.0 STARe Thermal Analysis software with the single frequency modulated temperature technique Alternating DSC (ADSC) included. This offers programming and evaluation possibilities to all users and is especially useful for the separation of overlapping effects and accurate heat capacity determination.
Streamlined quality inspection and release measurements are now possible with the new software option “Quality Control,” which has been designed to eliminate tedious statistical analysis. It enables immediate and direct comparison by quickly overlying stored good reference curves directly on top of a currently measured material and by automatic determination of statistics. This reduces data analysis time and leads to accurate and precise historical measurement analysis and reporting.
The DSC 2 with the new FRS 6 sensor provides users of many different industries the ability to achieve reliable results – superior if it involves the separation of close-lying effects, the identification of weak transitions, or to determine heat of transition with high reproducibility.
