New Software From METTLER TOLEDO Allows Scientists to Study Particle Size, Shape and Concentration In Real Time
(PRWEB) February 03, 2015
METTLER TOLEDO is pleased to announce that iC PVM software is now available. iC PVM allows scientists to acquire comprehensive process knowledge by viewing particles in real time using an intuitive interface. Combined with the next-generation inline PVM tool, ParticleView V19 with PVM technology, iC PVM continuously captures high-resolution images under a wide range of process conditions.
iC PVM’s auto-lighting and image enhancement features guarantee optimal image quality for every experiment. The need for training is eliminated due to simple and intuitive controls that ensure process understanding for particle systems can easily be obtained.
Relative Backscattered Index (RBI), an image-based trend sensitive to changes in particle size and concentration, allows scientists to study process dynamics. Combined with critical process parameters, particle mechanisms can be linked directly to process conditions.
iC PVM allows scientists to easily pin and annotate relevant images while filtering and removing uninteresting images to ensure file size are management. By focusing on the most important data, information is obtained and shared as quickly as possible.
Easy-to-use iC PVM reporting and data management tools allow images, videos and presentations to be created at the click of a button. Critical process knowledge can easily be shared – enabling project teams to justify decisions and reach a decision quickly.
Common applications for iC PVM include understanding crystallization; identifying growth, agglomeration, breakage and shape changes; controlling particle size and shape; monitoring polymorphic transitions; identifying the source of batch-to-batch inconsistencies; optimizing oil/water separations; and viewing particle and droplet systems in locations where offline sampling is not feasible (such as high-pressure lines).
