Firstmark Credit Union has announced the addition of Rick Nelson to the Commercial Lending group.

“With the growth of our business lending team and an all-new online banking platform, we are ready to expand our small business relationships in San Antonio and the surrounding area,” said Gregg Thorne, Senior Vice President of Lending at Firstmark Credit Union. “We are pleased to welcome Rick Nelson to our Commercial Lending Group. He has extensive experience in credit analysis and underwriting and will serve as Senior Commercial Lender.”

In this position, Nelson will be responsible for commercial loan growth, actively marketing the Credit Union’s business products and services, and working to enhance the loan portfolio through risk analysis and cross-selling opportunities.

Nelson relocated from Madison, Wisconsin, where he worked for eight years with First Business Bank, a publicly traded niche business bank focused on commercial lending and treasury management services. He holds degrees in Finance and Economics from the University of Wisconsin.
