Ronald Reagan was the biggest walking contradiction. How do you suppose he
went from Illinois to California? How did he get there? Did he send himself
there? No, he didn’t. His father paid for him to go there and helped
subsidize his way. How did his father afford it? From the job he was given
through FDR’s Public Works Administration, one of the most successful job
programs in the history of America.
Socialism works and Ronald Reagan is a bi-product of it. He called himself
a “bleeding heart liberal” at the time but then became more Republican
after WWII when he gave into conspiratorial thinking by morons who thought
that American communists were a threat, when of course we now know it was
all a right-wing invention.
Ronald Reagan passed the law that said a person could not be turned away
from receiving healthcare if they did not have insurance. Hospitals and
other medical facilities were known to turn people without insurance away.
Reagan put a permanent end to that. What he did was Socialism in action.
Every American has the right to healthcare, no matter their station in
life, no matter if they have insurance or not.
Of course, being the dingbat he was, Reagan did not go the extra step and
get insurance for everyone who now would not be turned away from care, and
that began a 30-year trajectory in America where insured people were having
to subsidize the direct healthcare costs of uninsured people. Costs
skyrocketed and so too did premiums as a result. Had he just expanded
insurance coverage to everybody after passing the law that said you could
not be refused healthcare, America would have saved trillions, would have a
much smaller debt today, and its citizens would be healthier and much
better off financially.
Reagan was the last President to give amnesty to illegals.
Reagan tripled the debt in 8 years and expanded the government. He expanded
Medicare and Social Security because of course his base was made up of old,
white people collecting their checks and getting cheap healthcare. Like
everything else, he expanded things and never paid for them, just like
George W. Bush with Medicare Part D, or the Bush Tax Cuts, or the 2 unpaid
wars.
Reagan and Dubya were very alike that way. They preached small government,
but they expanded government more than any other two Presidents of the last
45 years. And then they acted like they didn’t and left the bill for the
next guy to pay off.
Socialism works on healthcare. Ronald Reagan was wrong. When confronted
with reality, his healthcare policy was to put everyone in the same pool
and expand programs that actually work to save us money because if old
white people had to go out and find private insurance at the time, the debt
would’ve skyrocketed without the cost controls that Medicare has given us.
Ronald Reagan, the biggest hypocrite President in America’s history. His
little sycophants still live in the delusion that he was as conservative as
you can get, but in reality he was much more moderate and in fact grew the
size of government considerably. Under him, the decline of America’s middle
class was noticeable. Over the next couple decades, anyone that voted for
Reagan will be dead, and as those people die off, the truth will continue
to come out and all the lies and fairytales about his tenure as President
will be seen for what they are. The Reaganites are worried about that, too,
which is why in recent times they’ve actually started a commission to make
sure all they keep spreading the lies about him.

Fucking useless corporate shill, thank God he’s dead.

He was right.
In 1961Ronald Reagan warned if Medicare passed the government would force
doctors to live in cities where they did not want to, and future
generations would no longer know “what it once was like in America when men
were free.”
He also hysterically said, “What if as an actor he had to become a
Government employee”?

America: You committed a serious crime and you’re guilty beyond reasonable
doubt but you can’t afford a lawyer? Don’t worry we got you covered.
You’re a fine upstanding citizen who will die because you can’t afford that
life saving operation and you want health care? What are you, a fucking
socialist? Too bad, die anyway commie!
Spot on, this is happening RIGHT NOW.
RONALD REAGAN on Government Healthcare.
He was such a stupid dipshit.
Ronald Regan gave illegal aliens amnesty, ran up the debt to pay for tax
cuts for the 1%.So all you conservative should just continue to bury your
head in the sand, by watching fox so called news, and leave the
intellectual stuff to Liberals!

“The Republicans regained control of the Senate for the first time since
2006, even capturing seats in some states that were expected to go to the
Democrats. It’s time for America to move in a new direction – and it needs
to start today.” Good they now have two options, actually do something
useful or get destroyed in 2016. Well what useful things could a Republican
congress negotiate with this President on? They could organize a tax reform
deal like the one Dave Camp proposed, they could negotiate on immigration,
they could try to do something about the deficit. What would Reagan do?
Given his Presidency he’d certainly negotiate. As much as I may not really
like his policies even I must admit that he had the ability to say, “We
should meet in the middle” about important issues (and when he did so he
did not hold the world economy hostage over a law already in place which he
knew he couldn’t repeal without support from congress). What will this
Congress do? Probably nothing. The plan that Congressman Camp proposed is
decent by itself but somehow I doubt the Republicans would be satisfied
with it. They will want to change it and add things that will never get it
past white house. The second one, immigration reform will be ignored
because the Republicans seem to think that they can just ignore the
Hispanic vote. And the deficit? Hah! Only a blithering idiot would think
that they could close the budget deficit without either raising taxes or
gutting Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid. Since the former option is
an unholy abomination according to the doctrine of Grover Norquist they
will go with the latter option, ensuring not only that a budget doesn’t get
passed but also that the Democrats will have a chance to win back the
Senate in 2016 (there not called “third rails” for nothing ya know). How do
I feel about that? While compromise would is a nice thing lately the
Republican idea of compromise is demanding that we unconditionally accept
their positions on everything (and when we don’t they call us crybabies and
go cry and whine on television about how the mean Democrats won’t
“negotiate” with them).
Bro, did you ever think this video would get so many views?
Angry voters used Republicans to remind the White House that the President
and his party can bypass Congress. They can even ignore the Constitution.
But as long as democracy exists, they cannot silence the people. With a
52-45 edge in the Senate and a comfortable double-digit majority in the
House, a new political dynamic is already taking shape.
