SIMPLE ECONOMICS OF GOD.

God is a mighty and indescribable God that operates with simple economic principles to govern His creatures and He expects that we adhere to these principles that we may prosper but many of us as Christians fail to follow these principles and we do not understand why certain things go wrong in our lives. God’s principles of economics are so simple, clear and straight forward. They are principles of success and wealth, a give and take principle of success. This simple principle of economics has been over looked by so many of us.

Point 1

“Give and it shall be given unto you: good measure, pressed down and shaken together and running over shall men give into your bosom. For the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”

Luke 6:38(KJV)

This was Jesus speaking, he simply said give and it shall be given unto you. This principle does not have any spiritual attachment meaning it did not state whether you should be righteous or not, it was an open principle that God gave all of His children. It does not matter whether you are a sinner or not, God just commanded “give and it shall be given unto you”. Jesus was not suggesting to us, he commanded and every command of God has a blessing attached to it when obeyed and a penalty if not obeyed.

Now many of us as Christians falter in this area and expect the Lord to bless us, God does not work that way and that is why today we see several unbeliever that “give” prosper and Christian wonder but it is just a simple give and take principle which they obey. It is as you give that you receive, Jesus said that “it is the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again”. So if you are big giver you will automatically become a big receiver. If you must receiver you must give; it is point blank.

Point 2

“Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house and prove me now herewith saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing that there shall be no room enough to receive it.”

Malachi 3:8-10(KJV)

In every nation robbery and invasion of tax is a crime and it is punishable by the law, this also applies to the principles of heaven, God is not a man that should be joked with and he never says a thing without accomplishing it. He blesses His children and has commanded us that we pay 1/10 of what he has blessed us with for the benefit of His household the church but many of us Christians tend to disobey him in this simple principle of economics, God was so clear and simple “bring in you tithes and offerings and see if I will not bless you abundantly”. So many of us pray for more blessings but the blessings and grace he has given to us we do not tithe. He said if we do not pay our tithes then we are robbers. We should not get this wrong, tithing is not only restricted to money, we ought also to tithe our time, God wants a relationship with his children and also wants our time for his service, you could also tithe you goods and your services. It is giving him 1/10 of whatever he has giving you so that others will be blessed too. God said we should only obey this principle and see what happens. Share the love and care he has given you with others, tithe your time too. It is true we should be hard working because a lazy man will not have food but we should also remember that it is not of he that plants, nor he that waters but he that causes the increase(1 Cor 3:7).

Many of us run helter scatter seeking blessings when we do not know we are cursed because of disobedience to this command and how can a man cursed by God prosper.

Abide by these principles and see if thou will not prosper, it is God’s word and he honors his word even more than his name.
